Our First Build
Our very first hut was built for clients James and Leanne. They wanted a beautiful, cosy retreat to be sited overlooking a beautiful lake on their property. Somewhere quite to relax and be at peace within the natural surroundings. It was decided to go with a steel chassis so Steve made that from scratch. The first hut was a 16’ x 7’6 which is a versatile space. James and Leanne were not intending to sleep in it so it was to be more a cozy snug and place to socialise with friends and family. The hut was to be weatherboarded which is also the style of their traditional Essex Barn home that Steve had a key role in renovating. The hut has fully insulated walls, floor and ceiling and hardwood double glazed windows and doors. Steve also did the landscaping and decking to create an amazing outdoor space.
James and Leanne filled their hut with tasteful furnishings, a mini bar and cosy rugs and throws. They chose a Salfire Stove the Baked Apple with additional top oven so they can cook tasty meals on it whilst relaxing with their dogs and sipping a G & T from their mini bar. They also bought a stylish sofa and some other furnishings to complete the hut to create a space with a style that’s all their own.
The hut was positioned next to a purpose built decked area made by Steve. The ground had to be levelled before hand which is all part of our service. The deck is big enough to allow for a table and reclining chairs. Cabled electricity was able to be installed on this build, but we can supply off grid solutions where that isn’t possible. The hut is located in an enviable position overlooking a lake with Canada geese and other water fowl.
